Sharon Pieczenik was awarded a $6,000 matching-fund grant by Research Channel for her film on the science and conservation efforts surrounding the silky sifaka lemur of Madagascar. The silky sifaka lemur is one of the top twenty-five most endangered primates in the world. Until now, the silky sifaka has never been captured on video.
